A Berlin summer highlight of classical music are the concerts of the "Staatsoper für alle". In the heart of old and new Berlin, on Bebelplatz in Mitte, the Staatskapelle Berlin, one of the oldest orchestras in the world, performs in the open air. It is the summer highlight in Berlin's cultural calendar for fans of classical music from near and far.

Since 2007, the free open-air concerts of the Staatskapelle Berlin have always been very popular with audiences from Berlin and abroad. The special ambience of the open-air concert attracts up to 40,000 visitors every summer. Classical music fans settle down on blankets and folding chairs in the historic setting to enjoy the classical music while bringing their own picnic.

Early arrival is essential. Admission is free and there are no seat reservations.
