The hotel industry is booming
Berlin remains a magnet for international visitors and event planners. In the current ‘Time Out’ ranking, the capital is one of the three most exciting cities in the world together with New York and Cape Town. With 732 accommodation establishments (as of 2024), Berlin also offers one of the most modern hotel markets in the world.
After two years of renovation, the Radisson Collection Hotel Berlin Mitte reopened at the beginning of 2025. It was once famous for the huge aquarium ‘Aquadom’. Today, the 16 metre high ‘Living Tree’ with over 2,000 plants captivates visitors and guests alike. The newly designed conference area offers a light-flooded foyer and 10 modern event rooms. Another highlight is the DomLounge, an exclusive event location with a unique view over Berlin.
A spectacular new venue for overnight stays and congresses is also under construction: the Estrel Tower. With 45 floors at 176 metres, it will be the tallest hotel building in Germany. The 522 rooms, suites and serviced flats are just one part of the entire ensemble. Coworking spaces, a gallery and spa are also included, as well as 3,800 square metres of event space and 9,300 square metres of office space. On the 43rd floor, guests can enjoy a restaurant, the Estrel Skybar and the terrace with a view over the city. The Estrel Tower will literally be a highlight for events, meetings, art and society and a new flagship for Berlin's tourism and MICE industry.
Berlin's third largest MICE hotel also has a new look: after four years of renovation, the Hotel Berlin, Berlin am Lützowplatz has modernised its more than 700 rooms, conference rooms and spacious breakfast areas.
With the numerous new and redesigned accommodation options, Berlin is ideally positioned for the coming event years. Event and congress planners benefit from versatile, modern and sustainable locations.
