First Berlin Freedom Week from 8 to 15 November 2025 under the patronage of Berlin's Governing Mayor Kai Wegner. Organisations and institutions can participate with their own events.

Berlin will be showcasing itself on 3 and 4 July 2025 at the largest showcase event for a destination: 500 event experts will experience diversity, creativity and ideas for the future at BESTIVAL.

Berlin records growth in 2023: 30.6 million overnight stays (+3.4 per cent), 12.7 million guests (+5.2 per cent). 42 per cent international visitors, top 3: Great Britain, USA and the Netherlands.

400+ experts at the Berlin Creative Tech Summit 2024: Pitches, top speakers and creative inspiration strengthen Berlin's position as a global innovation hub – including Gitex, Bundesdruckerei and start-ups.

"Berlin Tourism & MICE Summit" on 15 November 2024 at the Gasometer, EUREF Campus: 250 experts will discuss major events and their significance for the capital city of Berlin.

From mid-December 2024, a daily ICE/TGV will connect Berlin and Paris directly. visitBerlin welcomes the innovation. French visitor numbers are rising sharply, and rail travel is more popular than ever internationally.

Sustainability initiative in Berlin tourism to be continued: visitBerlin offers all tourism and MICE stakeholders in the city certification for greater responsibility and a better future.

The number of guests at business events in Berlin is growing: in 2023, 7.6 million participants attended over 70,000 events, 20 percent of whom came from abroad. 2024 is also off to a strong start.

"Kongressfonds Berlin” extended until end of 2025 as fund for sustainable events. Applications open online from March 1, 2024. 2023: 180 events, 143,500 participants, 50% on sustainability.

BESTIVAL 2023 wins bronze at the BrandEx Award for ‘best event format’. Over 1,000 guests made it the world's largest showcase event for a destination.
