The city’s sporting spirit shines just as brightly in the stands: feel the football fever in the stadium, the thrill of a basketball game or the cool intensity of an ice hockey match. Berlin’s sports venues for meetings, conferences and business events

Few venues in Germany are as steeped in sporting history as Berlin’s Olympiastadion. This legendary site of records and iconic moments sets the stage for unforgettable events – from meetings on the world-record track made famous by sprinting legend Usain Bolt, to conferences in the exclusive team lounge or large-scale gatherings beneath the Olympic Tower. Whatever the format, your event is sure to be a winner here.

Velodrom

For a modern, urban backdrop, the Velodrom delivers. With its futuristic design, Europe’s only free-span steel roof and capacity for up to 12,000 guests, it’s a standout venue for conferences, meetings and major events. Located in the centrally situated Europa-Sportpark in the trendy district of Prenzlauer Berg, the Velodrom also hosts some of Berlin’s most spectacular sporting highlights – from the city’s traditional Six Day Race to motocross and international equestrian tournaments.

Rennbahn Hoppegarten

Speaking of equestrian tournaments: in 2025, the Rennbahn Hoppegarten celebrates 157 years as both a sporting and event venue – making it one of Germany’s oldest and most prestigious racecourses. A listed landmark, it is not only the oldest but also the largest sports venue in Berlin by area, and a true local institution. Spanning 430 hectares, with ample space for multiple events in a single day, this storied venue on the city’s eastern edge is a truly exceptional location. From exclusive business events and client receptions in lush surroundings to product launches on the grandstand or large-scale summer parties – every occasion here becomes a memorable experience. The unique blend of historic architecture, contemporary service and natural setting provides an inspiring backdrop for events with real character.

BeachMitte

Active meetings in Berlin can be laid-back and urban too – like at the city’s largest inner-city beach. Set at the foot of Prenzlauer Berg, right by the former Berlin Wall, BeachMitte offers the perfect setting for active meetings, sporty conferences and team events that get everyone moving. With over 35 beach volleyball courts, multiple event spaces and one of the most modern high ropes courses in the city centre, this venue brings energy to any format. Teams can let off steam on the courts or team-building courses, unwind with cool drinks at the beach bar, or enjoy a sunset BBQ in the open air. Just a short walk from Berlin Central Station, BeachMitte is easy to reach yet feels like an escape from the everyday. Sand between your toes, the fun of the game and the glow of the setting sun – it’s a moment of pause, right in the heart of the city.

Stadtbad Oderberger and GLS Campus Berlin

The historic Stadtbad Oderberger offers a similarly unique atmosphere – transforming a cathedral-like swimming hall into a stunning event venue for conferences, product launches, fashion shows and galas. The hall’s centrepiece is its original pool, now fitted with a hydraulic floor that can turn the space into a stylish event area within minutes, hosting up to 700 guests for meetings, celebrations or performances.

Ideally located in Prenzlauer Berg and part of the GLS Campus Berlin, the venue also includes a hotel with 70 rooms – perfect for a seamless combination of accommodation, meetings and events.

Get involved! Active incentive programmes in Berlin

A group of cyclists stands in front of the Reichstag with a group leader.

There is one language everyone understands: sport. Whether cheering, sharing the excitement or getting actively involved – taking part together brings people closer. It is therefore no surprise that sporting incentives rank high on the agenda of companies and event planners as part of conferences or corporate events. Set your team on the right course – for example with a dynamic team-building experience aboard a yacht.

Put your (laughing) muscles to the test with a game of curling (yes, even in summer!), on a cycling tour, or discover Berlin in style during a classic car rally. Prefer something with a bit more speed? Then feel the thrill of a Carrera race or play it safe with an ADAC advanced driver training session.

Turn your event into an experience: The top sporting highlights of the year for event planners

If you'd rather leave the sweating to the pros, Berlin’s top-tier sporting events offer plenty of high-adrenaline action from the stands. From a regular season NFL game and  BMW Berlin Marathon or ISTAF – Germany’s most iconic and longest-running athletics meeting – the city plays host to world-class moments all year round. Groups and corporate guests are always welcome at matches featuring Berlin’s top clubs. Why not tie your event in with a home game from Hertha BSC or 1. FC Union Berlin? Or treat your attendees to a memorable outing with the Eisbären, ALBA Berlin or the Füchse.
