I have always enjoyed writing. And what could be better than writing about my own hometown? Yes, I am one of those rare true Berliners – and I can confirm that it's true, we are reluctant to leave our neighbourhood. Mine is Steglitz, affectionately known to me as Sankt Eklitz. Kurt Krömer even claims that we still have a royal family. Well, Berlin can be dignified too. Since I started working at the Berlin Convention Bureau, I've been roaming the city with even more open eyes, discovering exciting event locations, hidden treasures and plenty of material to write about. And the best part? I get to share it all here on the blog.

Malai Brüser brings a wealth of experience in communication and marketing. Following her studies in journalism, her career first led her into the world of five-star hospitality, where she deepened her passion for language, storytelling and destinations as an online marketing manager. While she remained in the tourism sector, she shifted her focus – and now applies her expertise within the events industry. Since 2024, Malai Brüser has also been the dedicated contact at visitBerlin for the Berlin Convention Finder, helping to boost Berlin’s visibility and reach as an international congress and meeting destination.

Press relations and digital communication have been my home for over 25 years – sometimes strategic, sometimes creative, but always to the point. Since July 2024, I have been bringing this passion to the Berlin Convention Office. Berlin itself is the perfect stage for me: loud, lively, surprisingly authentic. I love the view into the distance, which is why I am always drawn back to Tempelhofer Feld. I recharge my batteries on my balcony in Alt-Pankow. Yoga keeps me balanced, books keep me curious. And in Italian delicatessens, I always end up buying more than I intended.

Miranda Meier has been shaping communication in the event and congress sector with clarity and passion for more than 25 years. As Head of Strategic Communication at the Berlin Convention Office of visitBerlin, she gives the German capital a distinctive voice and profile at international events. Previously, she served for many years as press spokesperson for Estrel Berlin and the Dussmann Group. With a background in PR, marketing and digital communication, she develops well-considered concepts for Berlin as a congress destination. Since 2024, she has been driving the communication strategy for Berlin as a leading event destination with both experience and heartfelt dedication.
