The Meistersaal at Potsdamer Platz – a legendary event venue in the heart of Berlin
The Meistersaal is one of Berlin’s most historic and versatile event venues. Built in 1913 as a concert and ballroom, it combines neoclassical architecture, iconic music history, and state-of-the-art event technology in a central location.
International fame came with its role as Hansa Studio 2, where artists such as David Bowie, U2, Depeche Mode, Iggy Pop, and Nick Cave recorded legendary albums. Cultural figures including Kurt Tucholsky, Heinz Rühmann, and Hildegard Knef also shaped the venue’s legacy.
Today, the Meistersaal is ideal for corporate events, conferences, meetings, award ceremonies, galas, concerts, and hybrid or virtual formats. The 266 m² main hall features a seven-meter ceiling height, a stage, excellent acoustics, and a wooden coffered ceiling, allowing for flexible staging—from business events to elegant evening galas.
Additional spaces include the Green Salon in 1920s style with bar, marble, and stucco, perfect for get-togethers, breakout sessions, or VIP areas, as well as the mirrored Wandelhalle for receptions and networking. In total, 463 m² of space accommodates up to 500 guests.
Equipped with modern lighting, sound, video, and streaming technology, the Meistersaal is also a leading venue for hybrid and digital events and a well-established location for film, TV, photography, and music productions.
