The Futurium is the House of Futures. It’s where science, culture, politics and society come together as equals to exchange ideas. Guided by the question “How do we want to live?”, the Futurium brings together the themes of humanity, nature and technology to explore a variety of future scenarios.

Set right on the banks of the Spree between the Reichstag and Berlin Central Station, the Futurium stands out with its striking architecture — a bold interplay of sculptural forms, openness and accessibility. Two event spaces of different sizes and a spacious foyer are available to hire for your own events on future‑focused topics of societal relevance. Sustainable commitment

Sustainability is a core principle at the Futurium – embedded in its architecture, exhibitions, events and everyday operations. The building has been awarded the highest rating, Gold, under the Sustainable Building Assessment System for Federal Buildings (BNB). Its forward‑looking energy concept is powered entirely by green electricity, harnesses renewable energy through in‑house photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, and incorporates technologies such as heat recovery systems.

Thanks to its central location, the Futurium is easy to reach by public transport. Bicycle parking is also available to support sustainable mobility. The Futurium promotes diversity and inclusion through fully accessible spaces and places a strong emphasis on accessibility when hosting events. To help conserve resources, you can make use of in‑house technical equipment and furnishings for your event.
