The Code of Conduct is derived from our mission statement and our sustainability strategy for BESTIVAL 2025. It reflects our experience, knowledge and mindset. The Code of Conduct serves as a guiding principle for our actions, for the planning and delivery of our event, and for how we present ourselves and behave—both within the team and in our interactions with partners and clients. We represent our principles openly in the broader social context and in the interest of Berlin.
We foster respectful partnerships. A committed and socially conscious approach within the team, along with engaging with clients, partners and service providers on an equal footing, are just as central to our values as fair treatment. By signing the mission statement, each member of staff affirms their commitment to these principles and aligns their actions accordingly, with a loyal focus on the needs of our clients.
It is our responsibility to respect and protect the environment in every way. In our field of business—event planning—we implement environmentally friendly practices across all areas of activity. We prioritise climate-friendly transport for people and goods, opt for regional and plant-based products, and take into account product life cycles, re-/upcycling, the avoidance of harmful substances and principles of the circular economy. This allows us to plan with significantly reduced resource consumption and to prevent CO2 emissions. This applies in particular to key aspects of BESTIVAL, such as food waste and surpluses, as well as avoidable waste generated by set-up and installed structures.
It is our responsibility to recognise and act upon ethically and legally sound conclusions within the wider social context—this includes, within our stakeholder environment, a commitment to minimum wage standards. At the heart of our responsibility lies the unwavering principle of equal rights for all people, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, origin or religious affiliation.
At its core, Berlin stands for openness, democracy, tolerance and freedom—values to which BESTIVAL is fully committed.
We take responsibility for our—at times global—supply and value chains and, to the best of our knowledge, ensure fair trade, the avoidance of exploitation of people and resources, and the unconditional rejection of child labour.
