The most frequently asked questions...
...about the Berlin Convention Finder. And we’ve got the answers!
Is the English version of my listing subject to additional costs?
The English version is not considered a separate listing, but rather the same listing in another language. This ensures that your services are also visible to international event planners.
We recommend always creating the English version in parallel with the German listing to keep both language versions complete and up to date.
To get started straight away, go to your dashboard and select “Translate” from the drop-down menu to the right of your listing.
How do I change my subscription model?
Click on your user account in the top right-hand corner on the homepage.
Scroll down to the “Change provider model” button.
There you can select your preferred subscription model.
A downgrade to a lower subscription level ("Light" or "Basic") is only possible at the end of the year. Notice of cancellation must be submitted by email to berlinconventionfinder@visitberlin.de no later than 30 November of the current year (4 weeks before year-end). Your subscription will then automatically switch to the selected model on 01.01. of the following calendar year.
How much does it cost to book an additional listing?
- Light (free of charge)
1 free listing per category: venues (conference hotels and event locations),
suppliers and incentive providers
- Basic
Each additional listing: 240 €/year
- Pro
Each additional listing: 480 €/year
What is the Highlight Label and how do I set it up?
The Highlight Label is available to you if you are a supplier using the Pro model. It allows you to mark your services as a highlight, helping you gain extra visibility among event planners using the Berlin Convention Finder.
To activate the Highlight Label:
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to “My entries”.
- Tick the box next to the entry you wish to highlight.
The selected entry will then appear as a highlight in both the German and English versions.
Do I need to upload photos separately in German and English?
No. Photos only need to be uploaded once in the German section. They will automatically be included in the English entry as well.
However, for the English entry, it’s a good idea to translate the image alt text into English too. This helps make your listing more accessible.
Why isn’t my listing appearing in the Berlin Convention Finder?
If you can’t find your listing in the Berlin Convention Finder, it’s usually because your changes are still marked as “Draft” and haven’t yet been submitted for approval.
Your listing will only be reviewed by our editorial team once you’ve submitted it for approval. After a successful review, it will be published and displayed.
Here’s how to check the status of your listing:
Go to your dashboard, where all your listings are shown. To do this, click on your username in the top right corner and then select “My Area”. Under “My Listings”, you’ll see the current status of each entry.
You can find instructions on how to submit your listing for approval in this guide.
