The motto of the 2023 Congress "Healthy Aging in Transition" advocates that psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy should increasingly address this highly topical issue. In recent years, the healthy lifespan has also increased significantly in Germany.
At the congress, participants will discuss the changing understanding of aging with internationally renowned speakers. This includes biological as well as biographical and social factors influencing aging processes.
The event will also address the challenge of applying new findings to the promotion of healthy aging among patients, who are exposed to a wide range of disadvantages and risk factors.
Other current social developments such as racism in health care, the rise of conspiracy assumptions, or authoritarianism will be covered in exciting keynote lectures as well as the latest developments in the field. Here you can look forward to contributions on the "Long-Covid-Syndrome", the use of digital health applications as well as on the psychosomatic effects of climate change.
As usual, the focus of the congress is on the presentation of your current results from science and practice, which everyone is invited to submit. These can be presented in various forms, as a symposium, mini-talk or ePoster.
The topic of aging in transition is indispensably linked to a generational dialogue. The congress aims to look at the topic area from a perspective of the many. Submissions will consider diversity and inclusion.
Also this year there will be a diverse educational program at the beginning of the congress
