Technology meets dialogue: Energy Technology as a platform for sustainable solution
The german capital region is one of Europe’s leading energy hubs. The Cluster Energy Technology brings together expertise, research and entrepreneurship – all aimed at actively shaping the energy transition. Over 6,400 companies and around 58,000 employees are working here to develop solutions for a sustainable energy future.
Innovation for a sustainable energy system
The cluster brings together key areas such as renewable energies in Berlin, energy efficiency in Berlin, energy networks and storage in Berlin, hydrogen technology in Berlin, turbomachinery technology in Berlin and power plant technology in Berlin. In collaboration with research institutions, companies develop innovative products and services for energy supply, mobility, urban development and industrial processes.
Since 2011, the cluster has been jointly managed by Berlin Partner and the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency (WFBB). The aim is to identify cross-border potential at an early stage, promote technology transfer and actively support change in energy technology – supported by programmes such as the EU Energy Technology Innovation Fund and the Berlin Energy Technology Master Plan.
