Symposium: Rausch&Reden
3hrHeroic, critical, activist - the artists of Schall&Rausch 2025 not only bring powerful beats and emotional songs to the stage, but also clear political statements.
- How can people escape alienation and experience real community?
- To what extent can art meet the challenges of this time?
- And could the power of imagination balance the imbalances of the world?
In the Pop&Politics panel, Gaye Su Akyol, celebrated Turkish pop musician and activist, and DJ Ipek İpekçİoğlu, icon of transcultural Berlin nightlife, talk about these and other questions in the context of the political situation under Erdoğan in Turkey.
Afterwards, the Ukrainian composer duo Opera Aperta discusses in the Art&Crisis panel how artistic work is even possible under the conditions of the Russian war of aggression.
To kick things off, Rainer Simon, artistic director, and moderator Julia Jordà Stoppelhaar give an insight into the festival program and the concepts behind it.
Rausch&Reden - space for thoughts, attitudes and questions!
