Berlin Science Week and Future of Festivals – debating the future
The big future issues were already under discussion at Berlin questions in August – a dialogue now continuing at the Berlin Science Week (1-10 November 2021). This celebration of science brings together leading international scientists and scholars at diverse scientific locations in Germany’s capital city – from the State Library to the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences or the Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB). Ever since 2016, the Science Week has been making research, science and innovation visible and accessible for everyone in Berlin. In fun ways, future research is brought out of the labs and to the general public – in interactive and interdisciplinary formats for curious minds.
In November, the Future of Festivals also provides a platform and forum to address one of the most crucial questions in this sector – what does the future of large live events and festivals look like? This major two-day trade fair on 26 and 27 November is expected to host over 200 exhibitors as well as 140 speakers and panel members.
