German Unification Day on October 3rd

  • Highlights
German Unity Day celebrates the reunification of Germany on 3 October 1990, making it one of the most important public holidays in the Federal Republic of Germany. The reunification of Germany was preceded by the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989.

Berlin celebrates the 27th anniversary of the German Unification with a street party for the whole family.  Alongside the party mile at Straße des 17. Juni / Tiergarten there will be a big entertainment programme.
