More World - fight climate change!
While climate change seems to be intangible, nowhere and everywhere at the same time, it is entangled with everything and everyone. The conference "MORE WORLD" will be offering a three-day program with workshops, performances and public lectures from October 10th to 12th, 2019 at the ZK / U Berlin and presenting examples of municipal practice from 25 countries.
The Heinrich Böll Foundation supports two theatrical performances in the context of the conference: Falko Hennig explores in his city performance the environment of the Center for Art and Urbanism by meeting representatives of Commons initiatives from Moabit with the representatives of Commons initiatives from over 25 countries invited to the conference as workshop guests. The cooking performances by Pepe Dayaw are total works of art, in which dancers, musicians and other artists participate and in doing so open a resonating space for surprises and interruptions of everyday life. Thus, new forms of community can emerge, the boundaries between artist and viewer become permeable.
Dayaw sees his performances as an alternative to right-wing populist thinking and acting and develops contours of a commons-cuisine. The event takes place in cooperation with the online magazine Berliner Gazette. Detailed program HERE.
