Berlin Supraregional Symposium for Psychosenpsychotherapy
Homelessness and accommodation in closed homes are extreme and often criticized consequences of the encounter between people with psychoses and our society and its care structures.
At this autumn congress of the DDPP we want to ask questions and discuss to what extent psychotherapeutic thinking and acting in this area, in which biographical breaks take place, should take on a larger role. It is one of the goals of the DDPP to reach people with psychoses with psychotherapy, for whom neither they themselves nor the environment have effectiveness and availability in mind. Often these people are in a situation in which problematic constellations build up and then hasty and unreflected action takes place. Psychotherapeutic thinking could offer an additional perspective here. Possibly crises could then be averted and people with psychoses could find other ways. On the congress experts will report an inventory to the closed accommodation and experts from the ranges homelessness and closed homes will report from their psychotherapeutischen experiences and will place these to the discussion. Beside the lectures and discussions Kasuistisch technical seminars (KTS) of different psychotherapeutic procedures take place, which are in each case led by two experienced female lecturers. All professional groups working in psychiatry are invited to attend. Some KTS are also open to affected persons and relatives.
