Workshop "Reverse Innovation - Thinking Urban Mobility"
In the context of the European
Mobility Week (16-22 September 2017) and in parallel to the Transport
and Climate Change Week (by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal
Environment Ministry (BMUB
)) the German Environment Agency (UBA
and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
are jointly hosting the event “Reverse Innovation - Rethinking Urban
Transport through Global Learning” focusing on urban mobility. The aim
is to exchange ideas on how German cities can learn from abroad.The
president of the German Environment Agency, Ms. Krautzberger, as well
as Dr. Beier, the Member of GIZ Management Board, will jointly open the
workshop und kick-start the discussion on the potential of reverse
innovation in the field of urban mobility (see tentative agenda)
practical innovation examples from developing and emerging countries
such as China, India or Brazil will be presented and ignite a lively
discussion with our diverse audience. Following the presentations, we
will host a high-level panel discussion whose panellists include German
Mayors, high-ranking company representatives and innovation researchers.
The workshop is free of charge. Workshop language will be English.
