50th German Economic Film Prize 2017
The German Economic Film Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017, making it one of Germany's oldest film destinations. Brigitte Zypries, Federal Minister of Economics and Energy, will present this year's award at Kino International with a greeting.
On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary, the German Economic Film Prize will be given for the most impressive cinematic presentations in the following 5 categories:
• Economic films and / or portraits (short and long versions)
• Image films from the business world
• Audiovisual contributions to digital media
• Junior films
• Special prize "German economic history"
Numerous agencies, industrial and commercial companies, filmmakers and creative professionals submit their contributions to four categories each year, which are then examined and evaluated by an independent jury. The most convincing works are finally honored at the award ceremony in Berlin. Every year, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy awards the best films on the subject of the economy. The aim of the competition is to promote the social understanding of economic contexts.
